We have an active search for a bioinformatics analyst to work on a project on the virome and bacterial microbiome of patients in a clinical case-control cohort. This involves integrating analyses of NGS data with clinical parameters. Our lab has strong expertise in bioinformatic analyses of virome and bacterial microbiome studies. Therefore, this would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has programming skills that is looking to make a difference in personalized medicine.
- M.S. in bioinformatics, computational biology or statistics.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Perl, and R.
We have an opening for a full-time research technician position. This position requires good communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently as well as within a team and a willingness to learn new techniques. The successful applicant will be working in the area of human virome research in kidney transplantation.
Specific activities include tissue culture, BSL-2 viral infection assays, PCR, plasmid preparation, processing clinical specimens and overall lab management.
- Bachelor's degree; Two years laboratory research experience
